Prospective parents are invited to make appointments to meet the Headmaster or the Deputy Headmistress of the Junior School and have a tour of Saint Michael’s School before registering their child(ren).
Girls and boys are admitted to Saint Michael’s School at Junior or Senior School levels.
For entry at Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, entrance is based on the following criteria:
- Entrance examination
- Report from current school
- Availability of spaces in the appropriate year group
- Family links with the school
Entrance examinations take place in January. Places are offered for entry to the School in the following Autumn Term.
Admissions at other times of the year are based on the same criteria and are considered at the discretion of the Headmaster.
Places are offered after consultation with the Headmaster and with Heads of Departments and interviewers. Places are not normally offered outside a child's chronological year group. Final decisions are made by the Headmaster after consultation with the Head of the Primary and/or the Senior Leadership Team.
Fees must be paid in advance of each term.
Junior School: £2260 per term, years 1-6
Senior School: £2330 per term, years 7- 11
Sixth Form: £2500 per term
Boarding: £1000 per term (senior and sixth form boys only)
Families may apply for bursaries by sending a written request to the Headmaster. A application form will be sent out. Bursaries may only be granted following submission of detailed criteria and at the sole discretion of the Headmaster.
